We have the extreme honor of collaborating with artist Dagny Walton and Missoula-based Bearscratch Press on these custom broadsides. The limited posters feature our town’s namesake Roscoe, the horse, our little cabin, and the native wild roses of the prairie.
Dagny’s handdrawn art was digitized then made into a photo polymer plate for printing on Bearscratch’s 1935 Hacker Test Press. The text was set in wood and lead typefaces. The art is printed in vegetable-based burnt sienna ink and the text is a blend of oil-based silver and phthalo blue. The posters are complete with a timeless deckle edge along the bottom.
